VAV Asunnot Oy is owned by the City of Vantaa and it develops and owns rental apartments in Vantaa. The company owns 10,000 rental apartments that are a home to one in ten inhabitants of Vantaa.

HOW TO ATTRACT PEOPLE TO TERRACED HOUSES?

The VAV apartments are very popular. VAV only needed to market one type of housing: large, good quality terraced houses. This launched co-operation between VAV and Seven-1.

Seven-1’s solution to spreading the message about terraced houses was an image campaign “Choose freedom” that was targeted at families with children. The idea was to highlight the benefits of rental living as opposed to owning. The campaign included newspaper ads and a landing page

Later on we renewed VAV’s website at www.vav.fi and gave lessons on using Google’s AdWords.

VAV chose Seven-1’s brand tool Suosio to manage its company image. Besides Suosio’s marketing material, Seven-1 has also designed VAV’s exhibition materials for a housing exhibition.
